Vetus offer a genius idea to solve the problems involved with installing high capacity fresh water tanks into confined and awkward spaces. This is a Vetus flexible fresh water tank which is designed to assume the shape of any space it is situated in, meaning they can be located in any area of your boat! The flexible water tank is made up of 3 separate layers: an outside wear resistant layer, a reinforcement layer and then an interior layer which is suitable for contact with drinking water.
With the types of places these tanks can be installed in, it is essential to balance practicality with performance and reliability. The reinforced layer is coupled with welded seams which contain an extra welded strip to protect the tank from high pressures. This is particularly necessary when the contents are moving around and when the tank is at capacity.
The fresh water tank is supplied with two 90° nipples to provide an inlet and outlet from the tank. The inlet nipple (38mm diameter) is already fixed to the top of the tank and the outlet nipple (16mm diameter) is supplied loose so it can be fitted easily to the desired position. This means installation is as easy as fitting the nipple and connecting the hoses.
