The Ruffwear Palisades™ Dog Backpack is a high-volume, multi-day pack featuring spacious saddlebags ideal for extended treks, with a cross-load compression system that ensures stability and comfort while carrying gear.
The saddlebags attach securely to a breathable, padded harness and can be easily removed at camp to lighten the load for side trips.
The Palisades Pack is built for functionality, with multiple pockets, external gear loops, and two collapsible one-litre hydration bladders included, making it easy to store your dog’s essential items such as food, water, and a sleeping system.
The durable, lightweight materials and thoughtful design, such as the improved “flopper stopper” system, make this pack comfortable for your dog, even during multi-day adventures.
It’s recommended that your dog carry no more than 25% of their body weight, including the pack and its contents. Start with lighter loads if your dog is new to wearing packs.
The Large/Extra Large size is specifically tailored for dogs with a girth of 32 to 42 inches (81 to 107cm), measured around the widest part of the rib cage. If your dog is inbetween sizes, Ruffwear recommend choosing the smaller size.
