Description
The Quick Balder BL2 windlass with horizontal axis is designed for installation in the anchor locker compartment. This windlass is fitted with a 100% recyclable technopolymer gearbox.
This BL2 model has a 1200W motor at 12 volts, providing a maximum working load of 420kg (925.9 lbs) and a maximum chain speed of 31.2 meters per minute (102.4 ft per minute).
To ease the positioning, the motor can rotate up to 180° at 45° increments and thanks to a specific bracket, the windlass can be installed on the bulkhead or below deck.
This windlass features an 8mm gypsy which is suitable for 8mm DIN 766, 8mm ISO (EN 818-3) and 1/2″ (12.7mm) rope (this value refers to a three-strand polyester rope with a rope/chain splice manufactured with the “Quick®” system).
