info Quick Overview

Description

An ultra-high temperature paint heat resistant up to 600°C, for application on multi fuel burning stoves, barbeques and grates.

This one-coat, black paint is formulated to provide corrosion and abrasion resistance and excellent heat transmission.

The paint is intended for use on wood or multi-fuel stoves, gas coal/log effect fires, grates, baskets, fire backs, barbeques, pipes, flues etc. We recommend that each new substrate should be checked individually for its suitability.

Following application, the surface will be touch dry within 15 minutes and can be handled in one hour in good conditions. The painted surface if air dried will become fully cured once it has been heated up to between 200 -220°C for approximately 20 minutes. Once cured, the substrate will be heat resistant up to 600°C.

– Re-coating time: The paint should not be recoated. The previous coat will need to be removed if recoating becomes necessary. Wash with soapy water for general cleaning.

– Application temperature: Ideally 15-25°C. Do not use below 10°C, or in conditions of high humidity.

– Coverage: 15 sq. metres/litre per coat depending on type of application and surface.

– Compatibility: Bare ferrous metal

– Settlement: Stir or shake well before use.

– Shelf-life/Storage: 2 years if stored unopened in a cool, dry place.

– Hazards: Flammable; harmful; harmful by inhalation and in contact with skin and eyes. Keep out of reach of children.
