Castrol GTX 15W40 multi grade engine and gearbox oil, suitable for petrol and diesel engines in cars, boats and many other automotive and industrial applications. The GTX range from Castrol features lubricants that protect against sludge, which can build up with poor fuel quality, harsh weather conditions and long periods without oil changes. This sludge build up can affect performance and life of the engine if it is left untreated. The Castrol GTX 15W40 A3/B3 provides 25% better protection against this sludge than the latest industry standard.
Using the correct engine oil can also improve the fuel economy of an engine, so it is important to get it right. 15W40 multi grade oil means that at cold temperatures the oil has the same viscosity as SAE 15W oil, and at high temperatures it has the same viscosity as SAE 40 oil.
This is a 4 litre bottle of Castrol GTX engine and gearbox oil, it is also available in a 1 litre bottle.
This engine and gearbox oil can replace Volvo Penta 22479642, 22479643, 22305989 and 22305990 SAE 15W-40 engine oil.
