Arctic Steel skin fitting and nut is a made of polished cast 2205 stainless steel and has a 1″ BSP thread.

Premium stainless steel skin fitting and nut is suitable for use with Arctic Steel 1″ BISO and SISO Strainers (WS-BISO-100-C-A, WS-BISO-100-S-A, WS-SISO-100-C-A and WS-SISO-100-S-A), as well as ISS Mini IRS-90 scoop strainer (part number: ISS140-100).

Stainless steel 2205 has many benefits over bronze, including:

– Lighter than bronze with excellent corrosion resistance; 2205 SS boasts the same life as bronze.

– Arctic Steel skin fittings are many times stronger (high tensile) than bronze.

– Reduced galvanic corrosion as today engine rooms are dominated by stainless steel and alloy.
