Arctic Steel inlet scoop strainer made of solid cast 2205 stainless steel and suitable for 1.25″ and 1.5″ through hull fittings.
This ISS Small inlet scoop strainer is designed to scoop water into through hull fittings when the boat is in motion, at the same time preventing large particles and debris from entering marine raw water systems.
Stainless steel 2205 has many benefits over bronze, including:
– Lighter than bronze with excellent corrosion resistance; 2205 SS boasts the same life as bronze.
– Arctic Steel skin fittings are many times stronger (high tensile) than bronze.
– Reduced galvanic corrosion as today engine rooms are dominated by stainless steel and alloy.
