Description

16M1 R & D Marine Engine Damper Drive Plate

Fitted between the boat engine and the gearbox input shaft, a damper drive plate is designed to transmit the engine power to the gearbox, whilst reducing transmitted gear noise and providing a cushioned drive when selecting gear. All R and D Damper Drive plates include a ‘failsafe’ design.

Also called the Driven Plate, Damper Plate or Clutch Plate, the 16M1 Damper Drive Plate is from the R and D Loop element range. Common applications for the 16M1 drive plate include BMC, Ford and Perkins engines.

R&D 16M1 clutch plate technical details:

– Spline: 10 teeth SAE 1 1/8″ x 10T (28.6mm diameter) for PRM 175, PRM 250, PRM 265 and PRM 310 gearboxes.

– Diameter of drive plate back plate which bolts to the engine flywheel: 298.5mm (11.75″)

– Back plate fixing holes: Multi-punched back plate offering 6 x 8.1mm on 200mm PCD, 6 x 8.1mm on 250mm PCD, 6 x 8.1mm on 269.9mm PCD and 6 x 8.1mm on 273mm PCD.

– Drive plate maximum thickness: 35mm (1.38″)

Fitted with the robust model M loop element for 540Nm 400 ft lb torque this element the 16M1 drive plate can be mounted either round on the flywheel and rotated in either direction. This drive plate element will provide linear stiffness up to 3 degrees of deflection and is failsafe.
