info Quick Overview

Description

The Racor Snapp range is the new, alternative solution to engine fuel filtration. The one piece filter unit is designed to fit into the pipework while being mounted into a separate bracket. When it comes to changing the filter you simply snap the old filter out and replace with the new. Removal doesn’t require any tools and can even be done with one hand thanks to the two large tabs on the side of the filter. Due to the construction of the filter, no mess is created because there is no disassembly needed!

At a quick glance, the Racor Snapp looks similar in design to the quality spin on range, with the familiarity of a clear bowl for fuel inspection and the self-venting drain plug at the bottom of the filter. It also contains the trusted Racor Aquabloc filter media inside for optimum performance. However that is where the similarities end. The Snapp filter is housed in a glass filled nylon body which is rust and corrosion proof and requires the stainless steel mounting bracket for installation. The body of the filter also features large finger tabs to aid removal and insertion of the fuel filter. The Snapp filter is designed for use outside of the engine compartment so will meet Boat Safety Scheme requirements when installed properly.

The 23299-30 marine model includes the Snapp filter as well as the mounting bracket. The filter contains a 30 micron element and is suitable for engines producing up to 140HP using diesel, bio-diesel (B20), petrol (gasoline) or bio-ethanol (E10), diesel or bio-diesel. Racor marine Snapp filters are also available with 2 and 10 micron elements and is also sold without the bracket.

Racor Aquabloc elements are corrugated and pleated to create a large surface area of filter media, which slows fuel down to improve coalescing and filtration efficiency. It can also hold a large capacity of dirt to extend the life of the fuel filter, resulting in less money and time spent in replacing filters. The media results in a minimum of 99% water removal and 99% particle removal, which is critical to engine protection.
