Description
This 5 position key start switch is suitable for use with petrol or diesel engines, but especially for diesel engines where pre-heat is required. The design allows for both external and internal applications.
The key start switch has a water resistant rating of IP64 (DIN 400 50) and the key slot can be protected by a splash proof flip cover 709596 (supplied separately).
Each key start switch is supplied with two keys.
– 5 positions – Aux / Off / Aux / Ign(stop) / Heat / Start
– Energised to run.
– No stop position
– Through panel mount
– Use relays for heavy load circuits and 711476 for energised to stop solenoid
Terminal ratings for the 709563 engine key start switch:
– Key switch position ‘0’ – All circuits off – Key can be removed.
– Key position P – 1st click anti-clock of ‘0’, set – Terminal 30-58, 8amp @ 12V, 4amp @ 24V, continuous – Key cannot be removed.
– Key position I, 1st click clockwise of ‘0’, set – Terminal 30-58, 8amp @ 12V, 4amp @ 24V, continuous – Key cannot be removed.
– Key position I to III, 1st, 2nd & 3rd click clockwise of ‘0’, returns to ‘I’ – Terminal 30-15/54, 35amp @ 12V, 17.5amp @ 24V, continuous – Key cannot be removed.
– Key position II, 2nd click clockwise of ‘0’, returns to ‘I’ – Terminal 30-19, 70amp @ 12V, 30amp @ 24V, 2 minutes – Key cannot be removed.
– Key position III, 3rd click clockwise of ‘0’, returns to ‘I’ – Terminal 30-17, 70amp @ 12V, 30amp @ 24V, 1 minute – Key cannot be removed.
– Key position III, 3rd click clockwise of ‘0’, returns to ‘I’ – Terminal 30-50a, 70amp @ 12V, 40amp @ 24V, short time – 18amp @ 12V, 5amp @ 24V, 1 minute – Key cannot be removed.
