Description

This Bowman heat exchanger manifold assembly is suitable for direct fitting to Ford Dorset 2712E 4 cylinder engines.

The Bowman FM450 heat exchanger unit features an aluminium LM6M body with a cupro nickel tubestack and neoprene end covers fitted. This heat exchanger manifold and header tank has a 4 bolt flange on a 112mm PCD with 11mm diameter bolt holes. The heat exchanger has 28mm neoprene end caps for raw water and fresh water connections to suit 46mm ID hose. This Bowman FM450-3658 heat exchanger manifold will replace Bowman FM440-3358 heat exchangers.

Order gaskets, hoses and exhaust outlet as extras.

Bowman recommend NOT fitting zinc anodes because the tubes used in the construction of the heat exchangers are copper-nickel alloy, and as such they do not require a zinc anode. It is possible that if a zinc anode is fitted it can actually destroy the copper-oxide film built up by the tube as a natural defence, which can allow the tube material to be attacked.
