Description
Maestrini circular intake strainer plate made from corrosion resistant brass (also known as CR Brass or DZR), with full slotted grating. This strainer grate is designed for raw water intake systems, such as those used in static intakes like toilets and gensets. It is designed to secure to the outside of the boat over a through hull skin fitting to prevent debris entering the intake system.
The strainer grating can be secured to the hull using four screws although it is recommended to use a marine sealant as well. Please ensure the inside diameter of this strainer plate will fit over the outside diameter of your skin fitting.
Important note: All fittings used for through hull applications must be correctly electrically bonded to ensure protection from electrolytic corrosion. DZR is suitable for below waterline through hull applications.
